About Kendra

Kendra and Ewan

Kendra Kurth Clinton was an amazing mom, wife, sister, daughter, and friend whose sudden death in 2012 left a void that will never be filled.

She was born in Beverly, Massachusetts in 1971. Two years later, her parents Beverly and William welcomed brother Erik, who would become one of Kendra's closest friends and biggest supporters.

In 1990, Kendra graduated from Bishop Fenwick High School and traveled west to the University of Montana to study Recreation Management. She thoroughly enjoyed Montana's landscape and the lifelong friends she made there. Eventually, she returned to the Northeast to take a job at Lotus, a business software development company.

Kendra always had a passion for art and after spending a couple of years in IT, decided to make the leap and pursue Graphic Design as a career.  She enrolled at the Art Institute in Boston and earned her BFA.

Around the same time she met her love, Steve Clinton, over a few pints with mutual friends at The Field in Cambridge.   In 2008, the two were married in a beautiful Beverly Farms ceremony.  The newlyweds settled in Amesbury, where they lived a full life: traveling, skiing, hiking with their dogs, and renovating their beautiful Cape Cod style home.

In early 2011, with the hopes of starting a family, Kendra and Steve were overjoyed to learn that their prayers had been answered; Kendra was pregnant. With great anticipation and love, they welcomed son Ewan on October 28, 2011. Steve beamed with pride and admiration towards Kendra who shone in her most anticipated and fitting role of mother.

Tragically and unexpectedly, Kendra passed away from an aortic rupture on February 23, 2012, only four months after Ewan's birth. Her smile, her laughter and her love will forever be missed.  Kendra's artwork remains a tangible reminder of her remarkable talent.
